Eastman™ Cellulose Acetate Butyrate (CAB-531-1) is a versatile cellulose ester used in various automotive and coating applications. It is known for its high butyryl content, which makes it more flexible and requires lower plasticizer modification compared to other esters like the Eastman CAB-381 series. This product forms tough films with excellent resistance to marring and weathering when combined with thermoplastic acrylic resins.

Borchi® Gol OL 17 is a polyether modified polysiloxane additive designed to enhance the flow and leveling properties and surface smoothness in both solvent-based and water-based coating systems. This product is 100% active and VOC-free.

Applications:

Borchi® Gol OL 17 can be used in a wide variety of binder systems. It is particularly effective in two-component systems, such as those based on Desmodur®/Desmophen® resins.

Dosage:

• Recommended Dosage: 0.05% to 0.50% of the total weight of the formulation, depending on the binder system.
• Dosage Determination: The exact dosage should be experimentally determined. Intercoat adhesion failures are not generally observed when used at the recommended levels.

Storage:

• Conditions: Protect from weathering and store at temperatures between 5 and 30 °C.
• Container Management: Once opened, containers should be resealed immediately after each removal of the product to avoid exposure to water and atmospheric moisture. The product should not be repacked from its original packaging container.
