WorléeKyd B 870 is a long oil, low-viscosity drying alkyd resin based on vegetable fatty acids, specifically developed for high-quality air-drying gloss paints. Here are its technical details:

• Oil content: Approximately 69%
• Oil type: Vegetable fatty acids
• Content of phthalic anhydride: Approximately 21%
• Non-volatile content, 1h/125 °C: 75% ± 2
• Colour (Gardner), 60% in isoparaffin: Maximum 10
• Acid value, on solids: Maximum 15
• Flow time, 20 °C, 60% in isoparaffin: 90 - 130 seconds
• Delivery form: 75% in isoparaffin. HC 170 - 200

This resin is compatible with most medium and long oil drying alkyds, usual hard resins, as well as raw and polymerized oils. It's soluble in all common solvents.

WorléeKyd B 870 is particularly suitable for high-quality non-yellowing gloss paints used in various decorative and trade sales applications. Its low viscosity and excellent pigment wetting properties contribute to excellent brushability, high film build, very good leveling properties, and high gloss and gloss retention.

Regarding drying, the following recommendations are made:

• Cobalt (Co): 0.03 - 0.06%
• Zirconium (Zr): 0.04 - 0.09%
• Calcium (Ca): 0.15 - 0.20% or
• Nuodex Combi APB (Elementis): 6.5% (on alkyd solid content)
