Just like the previous variant, it's compatible with medium and long oil types air-drying alkyd resins and nearly all maleic and phenolic modified hard resins. It's also soluble in all common solvents.

Its applications are similar, recommended as a binder or in combination with long oil alkyd resins for wood varnishes, parquet sealers, primers, undercoat lacquers, and fast-drying topcoats.

The caution regarding self-ignition when applying paints or lacquers based on this resin with conventional or airless spray methods remains the same.

For drying, similar driers are recommended:

• Cobalt (Co): 0.02 - 0.05%
• Zirconium (Zr): 0.03 - 0.08%
• Calcium (Ca): 0.10 - 0.20% or
• Nuodex Combi APB (Elementis): 4.0 - 5.0% of drier solution on solid alkyd resin.
