Manufacturing Instructions

STEP 1:

• Mix the following ingredients separately while stirring, and set aside:
  • AMP90 - Neutralizer (Supplier: ANGUS) - 0.3
  • ASCONIUM-114 - Anticorrosion Additive (Supplier: ASCOTEC) - 2.5

STEP 2:

• Into the let-down tank, add the following in order, progressively, with continuous stirring:
  • ESACOTE PU77 - Binder (Supplier: LAMBERTI) - 77.0
  • STEP-1 Premix
    • Deionized Water - 14.8
    • Butyldiglycol - Co-solvent (Supplier: Dow Chemicals) - 3.9
    • BYK 346 - Wetting Agent (Supplier: BYK Chemie) - 0.3
    • ASCOTRAN-H10 - Flash-rust Inhibitor (Supplier: ASCOTEC) - 0.3
    • TAFIGEL PUR 85 - Thickener (Supplier: MÜNZING) - 0.6
    • TAFIGEL PUR 64 - Thickener (Supplier: MÜNZING) - 0.3

Salt-Spray Performances

Cold-rolled steel:

• Duration: 400 hours
• Layer: 1 layer
• Dry Film Thickness (DFT): 35-40 µm

HD Galvanized steel:

• Duration: 1000 hours
• Layer: 1 layer
• Dry Film Thickness (DFT): 15 µm

Adhesion Testing Results

ISO 2409 24h after testing:

• With ASCONIUM-114: GR0 (Adhesion rating)
• Without ASCONIUM-114: GR5 (Adhesion rating)
