UVEKOL® S

UVEKOL® S is a one-component acrylic resin used for the lamination of glass systems. Here's a summary of its key features and uses:

Introduction:

• UVEKOL® S is cured under UV light for 20 minutes and is primarily used for producing glass laminates with excellent impact resistance.

Physical Properties:

• Refractive Index: 1.4475 at 25°C
• Colour: Alpha < 50
• Viscosity: 120 - 190 mPa.s at 25°C (Höppler)
• Density: 1.001 g/cm³
• Shore A hardness after cure: 68 at 21°C

Application Procedure:

• The lamination process is simple and requires no heating or pressure.
• Glass panes are cleaned and joined together with a double-sided adhesive tape, leaving a small opening.
• UVEKOL® S is pumped into the cavity between the panes and then cured in a UV oven for 20 minutes.

Special Approvals:

• Certified as an interlayer for hurricane-resistant glass by Dade County Florida, under NOA# 99-0302.04 and NOA# 02-0429.06.
• Received Avis Technique 6/97-1138 certification in France in September 1997.

• UVEKOL® S is available in drums of 180 kg net weight and Schutz containers of 1000 kg net weight.
• Flash point: 14°C
• Should be stored in a dry place, away from heat sources, at a temperature of 15 to 30°C.
• Shelf life: 6 months from the date of manufacture.
