SYNTHALAT A 150

SYNTHALAT-A 150 is a polyisocyanate-curing acrylic resin supplied in two forms: A and B. Form A is a 60% solution in xylene, shellsol A, and butyl acetate (in a ratio of 2:1:1), while form B is a 60% solution in butyl acetate. It is primarily used in two-pack coatings that are air- and oven-drying in combination with aliphatic polyisocyanates for industrial coatings, providing high mechanical strength, good adhesion, and resistance to weathering.

Film Properties:

• Affords films with excellent weather resistance, gloss retention, scratch and abrasion resistance, solvent resistance, and good resistance to water and aggressive chemicals
• Higher cross-linking density compared to some other products in the same range, resulting in greater abrasion and solvent resistance

Mixing Ratio with Polyisocyanate:

• Recommended mixing ratio relative to 100 parts by weight of SYNTHALAT-A 150 (solid) is calculated based on the hydroxyl content of SYNTHALAT-A 150 relative to non-volatile content

Solubility/Dilutability:

• Compatible with various solvents including ethyl acetate, MEK, butyl acetate, MIBK, MGA, toluene, xylene, butoxyl, and solvesso 100
• Limited thinnability with solvesso 150
• Only non-aqueous solvents and those containing no hydroxyl groups may be used

Compatibility:

• Compatible with various compounds including Synthalat A-055, A-075, A-141 HS, A-151, A-190, Synthoester 1018, 1130, 170 HS, NC chips and wool E 510, Vinylite VAGH, VROH, and others
• Compatibility with Desmodur N and Desmodur L based on an equivalent reaction of the reactive groups (NCO:OH = 1:1)

Storage:

• Can be stored under appropriate conditions for at least one year.
