SETALUX® D A 163 X is a polyisocyanate cross-linking acrylic resin primarily used in combination with aliphatic polyisocyanates to formulate two-pack polyurethane coatings. Here are some key points about it:

Properties/Applications:

Solubility/Thinnability:

• Can be thinned to a resin content of 30% using various solvents such as ketones, esters, ether esters, toluene, xylene, and solvent naphtha 100.
• Solutions formed must be tested for their storage stability.

Compatibility:

• Compatible with Desmodur N 75, N 3390, Z 4470, and L, as well as SETATHANE® D 1150, but combinations must be tested for compatibility.
• Also compatible with various types of nitrocellulose chips and certain vinyl copolymers, but compatibility testing is advisable.

Storage:

• Should be stored in originally sealed containers at temperatures not exceeding 30°C.

Shelf Life:

• Standard shelf life is 730 days from the date of manufacturing, but may be extended upon re-testing by QC.
