SETALUX® 1279 BA-70 is an acrylic polyol with 3% OH (hydroxyl group content calculated on non-volatiles). Let's break down its technical datasheet:
Technical Features:
Solvent Composition: Butyl acetate
Specifications:
Typical Properties:
Application: It is suitable for automotive coatings and industrial coatings.
Dilutability: It can be thinned to a solid content of 30% with ketones, esters, ether esters, toluene, xylene, and solvent naphtha 100. The storage stability of the respective solutions must be tested. Only PU grade solvent (< 0.05% water, free of other reactive impurities) should be used.
Compatibility: SETALUX 1279 BA-70 can be mixed with various isocyanates and SETALUX D A types, but individual cases must be tested for suitability. It is generally miscible with most CAB (cellulose acetate butyrate) grades, but the compatibility of combinations must always be tested.
Storage: It is typically stored in 200kg steel drums. Storage should be under cover, out of direct sunlight, and avoiding extreme temperature changes. Sealed, unopened containers have a shelf life of 12 months from the date of manufacture under normal storage conditions (5 - 35°C). If stored for longer than 12 months, it is recommended to recheck the product for suitability in the intended application.
