Rheotech™ 3300 is an hydrophobically modified alkali swellable acrylic-based associative thickener. Here are its typical characteristics and properties:
Nature: Aqueous dispersion of an acrylic copolymer
Appearance: Low viscous white milky liquid
Solid Content (%): 30
Active Content (%): 30
pH: 3
Specific Gravity: 1.06
Solvent: Water
Description:
Rheotech™ 3300 is recommended for use in interior and exterior flat dispersion paints, providing excellent rheological balance between high and low shear viscosities with low dosage. It enhances brush load and film build, as well as improves spattering and sag-levelling compromise. It is an ethoxylated nonylphenols-free alternative to Rheotech™ 3000.
Recommended Addition Level:
Typical addition levels for Rheotech™ 3300 fall in the range of 0.1% - 0.6% by weight of active ingredient on the total weight of the formulation. Optimum thickening effect is obtained 24 hours after incorporation into the paint.

Handling & Storage:
Protect from frost and weathering, store between 5°C and 40°C, and shield from direct sun exposure. Once opened, reseal the packaging immediately after use. Surface drying may occur upon contact with air. Slight sedimentation at the bottom of drums or totes is normal and does not impact performance if solids content meets specifications. Filter the product before use if necessary. Use within 6 months from delivery under these conditions.
Processing Instructions:
Rheotech™ 3300 can be added as supplied to a paint formulation or in a 1/5 blend with water (5% SC in water), neutralized to a pH of 8.5 before addition. Ensure the pH of the formulation does not fall below 8. If needed, pre-neutralize the medium to be thickened to a pH of 9.0 before adding Rheotech™ 3300.
