Nature: Aqueous dispersion of an acrylic copolymer
Appearance: Low viscous white milky liquid
Solid Content: 30%
Active Content: 30%
pH: 3
Specific Gravity: 1.06
Solvent: Water
Description:
Rheotech™ 2000 is specifically formulated as an associative thickener for water-based systems. It imparts a Newtonian behavior and is highly effective in silk and flat emulsion paints. It offers an excellent balance between high and low shear viscosities and demonstrates outstanding compatibility with most organic and inorganic pigments.
Recommended Addition Level:
The exceptional thickening efficiency of Rheotech™ 2000 allows for lower addition levels while maintaining excellent rheological and application properties. Typical use levels range from 0.3% to 1.5% as supplied on the total formulation weight.

Handling & Storage:
Protect from frost and weathering, store between 5°C and 40°C, and shield from direct sun exposure. Once opened, reseal the packaging immediately after use. As it's a film-forming product, the surface may dry on contact with air. Slight sedimentation at the bottom of drums or totes is normal and does not impact performance, as long as the solids content meets specifications. If necessary, filter the product before use. Use within 6 months from delivery under these conditions.
Processing Instructions:
Rheotech™ 2000 is supplied as a ready-to-use product with low viscosity for easy handling and dispersion. Its thickening properties develop in neutral or alkaline mediums. It can be added directly to an aqueous formulation or as a 1:1 blend with water carefully neutralized to a pH of 8.5 before addition. The formulation's pH should not fall below 8, and if needed, the medium can be pre-neutralized to a pH of 9.0 before adding Rheotech™ 2000.
