LioPur PFL 1284 is an aqueous, solvent-free aliphatic polyurethane dispersion based on a special polyester combination. Supplied as a 34% solution in water, it exhibits characteristics such as transparency to colloidal appearance and a non-volatile content of 34+/-2%.
This dispersion forms tack-free, transparent films with excellent surface hardness, high flexibility, and elasticity after air drying. Coatings made with it demonstrate very good water and ethanol resistance. When combined with self-crosslinking acrylic emulsions like Liocryl XAM 2851 or Liocryl XAM 2714, it produces NMP-free wood lacquers with excellent chemical resistance and other desirable properties.
Films based on Liopur PFL 1284 show tear strength of approximately 1.5 N/mm² and elongation at break of around 300% after drying for 7 days at room temperature. Proper storage in tightly closed containers protected from frost ensures its longevity.
While this information is based on thorough testing, it's advisable to conduct further evaluation in the customer's own laboratories before use, as no guarantees are provided in case of incomplete or inaccurate values.
