LioPur 2004-140 is a solvent-free aqueous polyurethane dispersion composed of a special polyester. Supplied as a 38% solution in water, it has a non-volatile content of 38+/-1%. With a low minimum film-forming temperature (<5°C), it doesn't require a coalescence agent for film formation, making it versatile for various applications.
Films formed from this dispersion are transparent, tack-free, and exhibit good hardness, flexibility, and elasticity. They offer excellent water resistance and can withstand ethanol exposure. Its compatibility with acrylic emulsions like Liocryl AS 680 and AS 615 allows for a wide range of coating options, particularly on wood surfaces.
Due to its flexibility, it's suitable for NMP-free finishes and cork lacquers, providing good impact resistance. When combined with water-dilutable polyisocyanates, it forms 2C parquet lacquers with excellent performance.
After drying, films exhibit a tensile strength of approximately 1.5 N/mm² and an elongation at Fmax of about 400%. With a shelf life of at least 6 months at 25°C and no labeling requirement under the German Dangerous Substances Directive, it offers convenience and compliance for industrial applications.
