Manufacturing Instructions

STEP 1:

• Add the following in order with good agitation in the mill-base tank:
  1. DEIONIZED WATER
  2. TEGODISPERSE 750W - Dispersing Agent (Supplier: EVONIK)
  3. BYK 024 - Defoamer (Supplier: BYK)
  4. AMP90 - Neutralizer (Supplier: ANGUS)
  5. KRONOS 2190 - TiO2 (Supplier: KRONOS)
• Disperse with high shear rate for 10-15 minutes, then set aside.
• Add ASCONIUM-143 - Anticorrosion Additive (Supplier: ASCOTEC)

STEP 2:

• Into the let-down tank, add the following in order, progressively, with continuous stirring:
  1. NEOCRYL XK85 - Binder (Supplier: DSM)
  2. DEIONIZED WATER
  3. BYK 024 - Defoamer (Supplier: BYK)
  4. DPnB - Co-solvent (Supplier: Dow Chemicals)
  5. ASCOTRAN-H10 - Flash-rust inhibitor (Supplier: ASCOTEC)
  6. STEP-1 Mill-base
  7. TAFIGEL PUR64 - Thickener (Supplier: MÜNZING)

Paint Data

• PVC: 15.6%
• PVC/CPVC Ratio: 0.28
• Gloss Level (60°): 90

Salt-Spray Performances

• Substrate: Cold-rolled steel
• Duration: 720 hours
• Coating Thickness: 1 layer, 70-75 µm dry
