Ecodis™ C 30 is a sodium neutralized polyacrylate dispersing agent designed for water-based systems. Here are its typical characteristics and properties:
Nature: Polyacrylate Sodium Salt
Appearance: Colorless to slightly yellow, clear liquid
Solid Content: 42%
Active Content: 42%
pH: 8
Specific Gravity: 1.31
Neutralization Type: Sodium
Solvent: Water
Description:
Ecodis™ C 30 is developed as a lighter-colored version of Ecodis™ P 30 with limited color evolution upon storage. It facilitates the complete dispersion of extenders and inorganic pigments, particularly in systems with medium to high PVC (Pigment Volume Concentration).
Recommended Addition Level:
The required amount varies from 0.1% to 0.5% of active ingredients based on the total weight of pigments and fillers. Starting formulation trials using 0.4% to 0.5% of it, as delivered, on the total formulation weight is suggested. It is advisable to disperse pigments in a pH range between 7.0 and 9.5.
Standard Packaging:
Available in:
Handling & Storage:
Store between 5°C and 40°C, protected from weathering. Once opened, reseal the packaging immediately after use. Use within 12 months from delivery under these conditions.
Processing Instructions:
Ecodis™ C 30 should preferably be added to water before pigment incorporation. Determine the optimum level for each pigment blend by plotting the graph of viscosities of the pigment dispersion in water versus the amount of dispersant. Choose the level of dispersant corresponding to the minimum viscosity.
