EBECRYL® 8602 is a nine-functional aliphatic urethane acrylate developed for UV/EB energy curing and dual-cure coatings. It offers significant improvements in weatherability compared to hexafunctional aliphatic urethane acrylates without compromising scratch and abrasion resistance. Notably, EBECRYL® 8602 does not contain intentionally added organic tin compounds, heavy metals, or quinones, making it regulation-friendly for various applications.

Viscosity Reduction: Graph I illustrates the viscosity reduction of EBECRYL® 8602 with reactive diluents such as 1,6-hexanediol diacrylate (HDDA), isobornyl acrylate (IBOA), trimethylolpropane triacrylate (TMPTA), and butyl acetate. Reactive diluents are preferred over non-reactive solvents to minimize solvent emissions and enhance coating or ink performance.
Precautions: Before using EBECRYL® 8602, refer to the Safety Data Sheet (SDS) for hazard information and recommended protective measures. Store the product away from high temperatures, direct sunlight, ignition sources, oxidizing agents, alkalis, or acids to prevent uncontrollable polymerization. Use appropriate storage containers and avoid procedures that remove or displace oxygen from the material. Maintain adequate ventilation during handling and wash thoroughly after contact. Follow recommended storage temperature ranges provided in the SDS.
