EBECRYL® 800

EBECRYL® 800 is a type of polyester acrylate designed for use in coatings on wood and paper. When cured by ultraviolet light (UV) or electron beam (EB), films made from EBECRYL® 800 exhibit good abrasion resistance, solvent resistance, and hardness. Viscosity Reduction:

• EBECRYL® 800 can be diluted with reactive monomers such as 1,6-hexanediol diacrylate (HDDA), trimethylolpropane triacrylate (TMPTA), acrylated glycerol derivative (OTA 480), tripropylene glycol diacrylate (TPGDA), and octyl/decyl acrylate (ODA). The choice of reactive diluents will influence properties such as hardness and flexibility.

Storage and Handling:

• Avoid exposing EBECRYL® 800 to temperatures exceeding 40°C for prolonged periods or direct sunlight, as it may lead to uncontrollable polymerization.
• Store in appropriate containers such as stainless steel, amber glass, amber polyethylene, or baked phenolic lined containers. Avoid storing under an oxygen-free atmosphere. Use dry air to displace material removed from the container. The material should not be stored for more than 2 years.

• The toxicological properties of EBECRYL® 800 have not been fully determined. However, products of this type can be expected to be eye and skin irritants and may cause sensitization or other allergic responses.
