EBECRYL® 4690

Product Description:

• Aliphatic urethane acrylate diluted with 1,6-hexanediol diacrylate (HDDA) at approximately 28% by weight.
• Contains approximately 27% bio-carbon (according to ASTM D6866) and is tin-free.

Performance Highlights:

• UV/EB cured coatings based on EBECRYL® 4690 exhibit very good mechanical properties, high abrasion resistance, good chemical resistance, low yellowing, and robust outdoor resistance (weathering).

• Coatings viscosity can be adjusted for application using additional HDDA or other reactive diluents such as dipropylene glycol diacrylate (DPGDA), isobornyl acrylate (IBOA), and trimethylolpropane triacrylate (TMPTA), as well as solvents like butyl acetate.
• Compatible with most acrylate monomers and oligomers, but compatibility should be tested in each individual case.
• UV curing requires the addition of standard commercial photoinitiators, typically at levels of 4 - 6%.
