DESMODUR® IL 1451 EA

Desmodur® IL 1451 EA is an aromatic polyisocyanate based on toluene diisocyanate (TDI), primarily used as a hardener component for fast-drying, two-component polyurethane coatings. It is supplied in a solution with approximately 51% content in ethyl acetate.

It is compatible with many polyester-based Desmophen® grades, alkyd resin, and Desmodur® products such as Desmodur® L, HL, and N.

The polyurethane systems formulated with Desmodur® IL 1451 EA are characterized by their rapid initial drying and early sandability, making them ideal for the industrial coating of wood and furniture. These systems can be formulated with high solids contents and are applicable with clear or colored coatings.

Desmodur® IL 1451 EA should be handled with appropriate protective measures due to its reactive nature. It is recommended for use by industrial or trade professionals and not suitable for DIY applications.

Storage recommendations include storing in tightly sealed original containers, protected from moisture, heat, and foreign materials, with a recommended storage temperature of 0º-30ºC. The product has a shelf life of six months from the date of receipt at the customer, provided it is stored correctly.
