Description:
CRAYVALLAC® SLT facilitates the activation-free manufacture of moisture-curing methoxysilane-based sealants and adhesives. Simple stirring is sufficient to achieve full efficiency. It's specially designed for low-temperature processing conditions typically ranging from 30°C to 80°C. Upon application, CRAYVALLAC® SLT particles form an interacting network of crystalline fibers, providing shear-thinning rheology that ensures ease of application followed by excellent sag and slump resistance.
Recommended Addition Level:
1-5% under heat and shear.
Standard Packaging:
Available in 15 kg bags. Other packaging options may be available upon request.
Handling & Storage:
Store in the original containers in a dry place at temperatures between 5°C (41°F) and 30°C (86°F). Avoid exposure to direct sunlight or frost. Use within 48 months from production under these conditions.
Processing Instructions:
Successful manufacture of methoxysilane-based sealants depends on careful moisture level control. Pre-drying of pigments and extenders before dispersion with methoxysilane polymer is recommended. Vacuum processing helps prevent moisture uptake during processing, although it's less efficient at removing unwanted water residues introduced with raw materials. Avoid prolonged contact of additives with the resin component to prevent skin formation in the final sealant.
