Description:
Coapur™ XS 12 is a solvent and Alkyl Phenol Ethoxylate (APE) free associative polyurethane thickener. It can be used alone or in combination with other polyurethane thickeners or any type of rheology modifiers, such as acrylic or cellulosic thickeners, particularly acting at low shear rates. It is a pure associative thickener, designed to interact with the binder of the formulation to selectively control rheology at high shear rates with limited impact at low and medium shear rates. Coapur™ XS 12 helps achieve the highest coating quality for water-based formulations by improving flow and leveling.

Recommended Addition Level:

As sole thickener in lacquers, gloss, and semi-gloss dispersion paints: 0.5% to 3%
Combined with a medium and/or low shear effective thickener: 0.5% to 2.0% (based on solids content)

Standard Packaging:
Available in 1000L IBC and 220L plastic drum. Other packaging options may be available upon request.

Handling & Storage:
Store between 5°C and 40°C, protected from weathering. Reseal packaging immediately after use. Use within 12 months under these conditions.
