BECKOCOAT® VPU 4204/40LG is a one-component polyurethane resin designed for flatting, moisture curing applications. It is delivered in a solvent mixture at a concentration of 40%.
Special Properties and Use:
Product Data:
Suggested Uses: Due to its high abrasion resistance, BECKOCOAT® VPU 4204 is suitable for wooden floor sealings and concrete impregnation in areas such as bowling alleys, dancing halls, gymnasiums, and schools. It can be used as the sole binder, and the degree of flatness or brilliance can be adjusted by combining it with other products. It can also be mixed with suitable coloring pastes for specific applications.
Processing: BECKOCOAT® VPU 4204/40LG should be used in diluted form by brush, roller, or spray gun. The application viscosity should be adjusted for low temperatures using a mixture of xylene/methoxypropyl acetate. Equipment should be cleaned immediately after use, and compatibility with other binders is limited.
Film Properties: The curing of BECKOCOAT® VPU 4204 films depends on film thickness, temperature, and humidity. Recoating is usually possible after 6 - 8 hours at 23°C, with sanding recommended between layers. Blistering may occur at low temperatures (< 15°C), and intercoat adhesion should be maintained by recoating within 24 hours or sanding for better adhesion.
Storage: Storage stability in original containers at temperatures up to 25°C is at least 365 days.
