Suggested Uses:
- Additol XL 480 may be used with any type of paint material, e.g., alkyd/melamine systems, acrylics, polyurethane systems, oil-free polyesters, etc.
- Prevents surface defects of paint films, including cratering and defects caused by applicational conditions.
- Provides higher security against surface defects on application.
Processing:
- Recommended usage level: 0.1 - 0.5% of Additol XL 480 on paint.
- Effectiveness of higher levels should be individually checked.
- Can be added prior to or after dispersion. Sequence of ingredients in paint preparation does not influence the effect.
- Can also be added as a solution diluted with normal solvents such as aromatic hydrocarbons, alcohols, or glycol ether esters.
- Effect becomes prominent immediately after incorporation into the paint and remains stable after prolonged storage. No negative influences on mechanical or applicational properties observed.
Storage:
- At temperatures up to 25°C, storage stability packed in original containers amounts to at least 730 days.
