SYNTHOESTER TS 2245 is a siloxane-modified, cycloaliphatic, hydroxyl-containing, high-solid polyester resin. Here are its characteristics, properties, and recommended use:
Characteristics:
- Siloxane-modified, cycloaliphatic, hydroxyl-containing, high-solid polyester resin.
Supplied as:
Use:
- When stoichiometrically cross-linked with polyisocyanates, it is used for high-quality, air-drying, 2K topcoats (VOC < 360 g/l) and fillers (VOC < 250 g/l). Application areas include general industrial topcoats and transportation coatings. When mixed with other high-solid resins such as Synthoester TS 186 HS or Synthalat-A 147 HS in quantities up to 20%, it offers advantages in terms of flow, scratch resistance, water repellency, surface hardness, chemical and weather resistance, and VOC reduction in 2K topcoat applications.
