SYNTHOLUX 197PE is a radiation-curing, low-viscosity polyester acrylate resin that is solvent-free. Here are its characteristics, properties, and recommended use:

SYNTHOESTER W 142 is a waterborne, cyclo-aliphatic polyester resin containing hydroxyl groups. Here are its characteristics, properties, and recommended use:

Use:

• It is designed for 1 and 2 pack waterborne coatings, crosslinkable with hydrophobic melamine resins for oven-drying topcoats above 110°C on metal and glass substrates. It can also be used with polyisocyanates for air- and forced-drying top coats on metal, glass, wood, and plastic substrates, offering very good adhesion, high mechanical values, weathering, and chemical resistance.

SYNTHOESTER TS 4309 is a high-flexible, cycloaliphatic, saturated polyester resin. Here are its characteristics, properties, and recommended use:

Supplied as:

• 100% resin.

Use:

• When combined with aliphatic polyisocyanates, it is used for very flexible two-pack coatings, especially for soft-feeling coatings. This resin can also increase the flexibility of acrylic resins and aliphatic polyesters, such as SE 186 HS, for yellowing-resistant top coats. After neutralization with amines, like dimethylethanolamine, it can be used for water-dilutable coatings.

Compatibility:

• When combined with other resins in varying proportions, it shows compatibility with a range of combination partners, including Synthalat resins, Synthoester HD resins, Lioptal A, NC-Chips E, Vinylite resins, CAB resins, Pergut S, MP resins, and various Desmodur resins.

SYNTHOESTER TS 2245 is a siloxane-modified, cycloaliphatic, hydroxyl-containing, high-solid polyester resin. Here are its characteristics, properties, and recommended use:

Supplied as:

• 80% in butyl acetate.

Use:

• When stoichiometrically cross-linked with polyisocyanates, it is used for high-quality, air-drying, 2K topcoats (VOC < 360 g/l) and fillers (VOC < 250 g/l). Application areas include general industrial topcoats and transportation coatings. When mixed with other high-solid resins such as Synthoester TS 186 HS or Synthalat-A 147 HS in quantities up to 20%, it offers advantages in terms of flow, scratch resistance, water repellency, surface hardness, chemical and weather resistance, and VOC reduction in 2K topcoat applications.

SYNTHOESTER TS 1713 is a high-solid polyester resin containing hydroxyl groups. Here are its characteristics, properties, and recommended use:

Supplied as:

• 80% in butyl acetate.

Use:

• Utilized in combination with melamine resins and CAB for base-coat enamels. Also, in combination with aliphatic polyisocyanates, it is used to create air- and oven-drying two-pack high-solid lacquers and fillers with high mechanical properties, high gloss and body, and very good chemical and weather resistance. Compatible with nearly all acrylic resins, CAB, and HL. VOC-value of 370 g/l lacquer at 21 sec. Suitable for industrial coatings, vehicles, trains, plastics, wood, pigmented pastes, and more.
