BYK®-3900 P

Crylcoat 2441-3

CRYLCOAT® 2441-3 is a tribo-active, carboxyl functional polyester resin designed for use with 7% TGIC (triglycidyl isocyanurate) in the production of powder coatings. This product is characterized by excellent flow and good mechanical properties when used in powder coating formulations.

Shelf Life:
Under normal storage conditions (≤ 30°C), the shelf life of the resin is 24 months from the date of manufacturing. For products older than 24 months, it is recommended to check the acid value and the viscosity every year.

Zinkphosphat PZ 20

Zinc Phosphate PZ20 is a corrosion inhibiting pigment used in various coating applications, including DIY projects and demanding industrial uses such as coil coatings. It is a stable, non-hygroscopic white powder with low tinting strength and easy dispersibility. Due to its low solubility, it is compatible with a wide range of solvent-based and water-based resins.

TAFIGEL® PUR 41

TAFIGEL® PUR 41 is a non-ionic polyurethane-based rheology modifier designed for use in aqueous systems. It is free from alkylphenol ethoxylates (APE), volatile organic compounds (VOC), and organotin. This product is intended to modify and stabilize viscosity by forming a network between polyurethane, binder molecules, and pigment particles.

RESYDROL® AX 237w/70BG

RESYDROL® AX 237w/70BG is a water-dilutable oxidative drying epoxy resin ester, primarily used as a binder in air-drying corrosion protection coatings and stoving systems. It is also used in combination with polymer emulsions for air-drying coatings for wood and plastic.

Special Properties and Uses:

- Chalking and Discoloration: As a typical epoxy ester, it is susceptible to chalking and tends to discolor.
- Moisture Tolerance: Can be applied to moist metallic substrates or wet wood without reducing adhesion or causing surface defects.
- Application Methods: Suitable for brushing, spraying, or dipping. Forced drying is possible.
Compatibility:
- Compatible with many water-reducible resins and aqueous emulsions.
- For air-drying systems, a combination with acrylic emulsions is useful.
- For stoving systems, it is recommended to use methylated melamine resins.
- Compatibility should be checked in all cases.
Processing:
- Pigmentation: Can be dispersed in acidic resin as supplied or after neutralization. Preferred methods include a triple-roll mill for acidic form and a pearl mill for neutralized systems.
- Driers: Needs driers to accelerate drying. Best results with cobalt driers up to 0.2% on solid resin. For water-reduced systems, Additol VXW 4940 can be used.
- Antiskinning Agents: To prevent skin formation, use 0.5 - 1% Additol XL 297 on solid resin.
Handling and Storage:
- Must be neutralized prior to reduction with deionized water.
- Store in original containers at temperatures up to 25 °C for stability up to 365 days.
- Protect from freezing and direct sunlight.

Alberdingk SC 48

ALBERDINGK® SC 48 is an aqueous dispersion of styrene and acrylic acid esters. It is a fine disperse, medium-viscosity copolymer dispersion, which is primarily used in various building and construction applications as well as in metal primers.
