WorléeKyd B 845 55% In White Spirit 145-195, identified by Art.-No. 111010-00821, is a medium oil, very fast drying alkyd resin primarily based on cotton seed and soya oils. It's specifically formulated for the production of high-quality air and heat drying industrial enamels and car repair enamels. Here are its technical specifications:

• Oil content: Approximately 45%
• Content of phthalic anhydride: Approximately 25%
• Non-volatile content: 55% ± 1
• Colour: Gardner scale, maximum 10 (in 40% white spirit with a Gardner scale of 145 - 195)
• Acid value: Maximum 15 on solids
• Flow time: 80 - 100 s at 20°C with 40% in white spirit with a Gardner scale of 145 - 195 (measured according to DIN 53211-4)
• Delivery form: 55% in white spirit with a Gardner scale of 145 - 195

Compatibility:

• Compatible with short and medium oil alkyd resins.
• Partly compatible with long oil alkyd resins; compatibility can be improved with the addition of a maleic resin.
• Compatible with usual maleic and phenolic modified resins.

Solubility:

• Soluble in all common solvents.

Application and Properties:

• Acts as a modern, multi-purpose medium oil length alkyd resin, used as a binder for various industrial enamels, radiator paints, dipping and flow coating paints, and enamels for trucks, touring cars, omnibuses, tractors, and agricultural equipment.
• Suitable for nitrocellulose combinations and air- and heat-drying primers with excellent elasticity.

Driers:

• Recommended addition of driers:
  • 0.04 - 0.06% Co metal
  • 0.05 - 0.09% Zr metal
  • 0.10 - 0.20% Ca metal (metal on 100% alkyd resin) or 5.00 - 6.50% Nuodex Combi APB (Elementis) of drier solution on 100% alkyd resin.
