UVECOAT® 9010

UVECOAT® 9010 is a semi-crystalline unsaturated polyester resin designed for UV curable powder coatings in the Industrial Wood market. It enhances coating smoothness and flexibility when combined with compatible resins.

Specifications:

• Appearance: Pale granules
• Color (b-value): Max. 20
• Acid value (mg KOH/g): Max. 3
• Brookfield Viscosity @ 100 °C: Approx. 350 mPa.s
• Melting Temperature: Approx. 85 °C

Starting Formulation:

• UVECOAT® 2100: 66.3%
• UVECOAT® 9010: 5.0%
• Photoinitiators: 2.4%
• Titanium dioxide: 25.0%
• MODAFLOW® Powder 6000: 1.0%
• Benzoin: 0.3%

Extrusion: Twin screw, speed 250 rpm, torque 70 ± 5%, temperature 95 to 105 °C

Application: 60 micrometer film on 0.5 mm chromated Al panel using specific spray gun parameters

IR-UV oven settings: Belt speed 0.5-5 m/min, IR 32 KW/m2, UV 80-160 W/cm

Shelf Life: 12 months from manufacturing under normal storage conditions (≤25°C). Acid value and viscosity should be checked annually for products older than 12 months.
