Styrene acrylic deeptone base paint - PVC 30% - acronal* S559

This formulation is designed for producing an interior/exterior deeptone base paint with superior quality and versatility. It utilizes aquaflow™ XLS-530E and aquaflow™ NHS-300E as nonionic synthetic associative thickeners (NSAT) to achieve the desired rheological properties. The PVC (Pigment Volume Concentration) is set at 30% using acronal* S559, a styrene acrylic deeptone base paint.

Components and Their Functions:

1. Water:
   • Function: Acts as the primary vehicle for the formulation, facilitating dispersion and application.
2. Wetting/Dispersing Agents:
   • Sodium Polyphosphate (Calgon N) and Ammonium Polyacrylate (Dispex CX 4240): Aid in dispersing pigments and fillers evenly throughout the formulation.
3. Co-Dispersant (Phosphate Ester Strodex PK-85NV):
   • Function: Enhances the effectiveness of the wetting/dispersing agents, promoting better dispersion of pigments and fillers.
4. In-Can Preservative (Biocide Parmetol A28S):
   • Function: Prevents microbial growth within the paint, extending its shelf life.
5. Foam Control Agent (Emulsion of Hydrocarbons Drewplus L-1311E):
   • Function: Controls foam formation during mixing and application, ensuring a smooth finish.
