Parquet lacquer formula for brush and roller application

This formulation is designed for a parquet lacquer intended for brush and roller application. It features a combination of polyurethane dispersion and various additives to enhance performance, application properties, and durability. This formulation is optimized to provide a durable, high-quality finish for parquet flooring, suitable for application with both brush and roller. It ensures smooth application, excellent wetting properties, and a matte finish.

Components and Their Functions:

1. Aliphatic Polyurethane Dispersion (LUR 10VP)*

2. Emulsion of Polysiloxanes (Drewplus™ TS-4385)
   • Function: Serves as a foam control agent, reducing foam during application to ensure a smooth finish.
3. Polyether-modified Polysiloxanes (BYK 349)*
   • Function: Improves substrate wetting, ensuring even application and adherence to the surface.
4. Biocide (Nuosept BM11)*
   • Function: Functions as an in-can preservative, preventing microbial growth and extending shelf life.
5. Dipropylene Glycol Methyl Ether (Dowanol DPM)*
   • Function: Acts as a coalescing agent, aiding in the film formation process by promoting the merging of polymer particles.
6. Thermosetting Plastic Powder (Deuteron MK)*
   • Function: Serves as a matting agent, reducing the gloss level to achieve a desired matte finish.
7. Non-ionic Synthetic Associative Thickener (NSAT) (Aquaflow™ NHS-300E)
   • Function: Acts as a rheology modifier, adjusting the viscosity and flow properties of the lacquer for better application.
8. Water
   • Function: Used as a vehicle to dissolve and carry other components.

Preparation Procedure:

• Ensure thorough dispersion and mixing to achieve a uniform formulation.
