Inokem® UR 3304 is a surfactant-free self-emulsified urethane modified alkyd emulsion designed for air-drying water-borne outdoor resistant coatings. Here's a breakdown of its key characteristics and applications:
Description: Inokem UR 3304 is a urethane modified alkyd emulsion with a short oil length. It does not contain surfactants and is specifically formulated for outdoor-resistant coatings that dry in air.
Application: This binder is highly versatile and suitable for transparent and pigmented systems. It offers high gloss, fast drying, high hardness, water resistance, and excellent gloss and color retention. Its applications range from wall paints and decorative lacquers or varnishes to industrial coatings such as top coats and anticorrosion primers. It exhibits good compatibility with other binders and associative thickeners.
Specification: The technical specifications of Inokem UR 3304 include a solids content of 40 ± 2%, short oil length, maximum acid value of 30 on solids (DIN EN ISO 3682), pH range of 6.5 to 8.5, and a viscosity of < 5000 mPas at 25°C (measured with Brookfield, spindle 4/50 rpm). The neutralizing agent used is TEA.
Packaging, Storage & Safety: Inokem UR 3304 should be stored in its original containers or in stainless steel, aluminum, or plastic tanks. Ordinary steel tanks with a corrosion-proof lining can also be used. The containers must be kept closed to prevent evaporation of water and the formation of a skin on the surface. Storage temperature should be maintained between -5°C and 40°C. The product can typically be stored for twelve months under normal conditions without significant loss of properties.
