Ecodis™ P 90 is a dispersing agent designed for water-based systems, particularly dispersion paints formulated with extenders. Here are its typical characteristics and properties:
Nature: Polyacrylate Ammonium Salt
Appearance: Green liquid
Solid Content: 40%
Active Content: 40%
pH: 7
Specific Gravity: 1.16
Neutralization Type: Ammonium
Solvent: Water
Description:
Ecodis™ P 90 is formulated to facilitate the dispersion of extenders and inorganic pigments in water-based systems, ensuring complete dispersion even at high solids contents and in systems with high PVC (Pigment Volume Concentration).
Recommended Addition Level:
The required amount varies from 0.1% to 0.5% of active ingredients based on the total weight of pigments and fillers. It is recommended to disperse pigments and fillers in a pH range of 7.5 to 9.5.
Standard Packaging:
Available in:
Handling & Storage:
Store between 5°C and 40°C, protected from weathering. Once opened, reseal the packaging immediately after use. A small decrease in pH may be observed, which can be corrected by adding small quantities of ammonium hydroxide. Use within 12 months from delivery under these conditions.
Processing Instructions:
Ecodis™ P 90 should be added before blending pigments and extenders. The addition level is determined by plotting the graph of viscosity of the dispersion in water versus the amount of dispersant added. The level of dispersant corresponding to the minimum viscosity is selected as the addition level.
