EBECRYL® 4381

EBECRYL® 4381 is an unsaturated polyester resin diluted in dipropylene glycol diacrylate (DPGDA). It's designed for use in the formulation of UV/EB energy curable coatings and primers, particularly for wood, cork, and furniture applications. Coatings based on EBECRYL® 4381 offer good hardness and high gloss.

• Formulating: Additional DPGDA or other reactive diluents can be added to adjust the viscosity. Compatibility must be tested with other formulation components.

• Solubility: Soluble in esters and ketones, partly soluble in toluene and xylene, and insoluble in aliphatic hydrocarbons.
• Physical Properties: Acid value: 14 mg KOH/g, Gardner color: 3, Density: 1.15 g/cm³ at 20°C, DPGDA content: 30%, Flash point: >100°C, Viscosity: 12000 mPa.s at 23°C.
• Cured Properties: Tensile strength: 1885 psi (13 MPa), Elongation at break: 12%.
