Eastman AQ™ 1350 Copolyester is another medium molecular weight branched sulfopolyester primarily used in hot melt adhesive applications. Here's a breakdown of its properties and uses:
Application/Uses:
Key Attributes:
Product Description: Eastman AQ™ copolyester 1350 is a light-colored semi-solid with a fruity odor. It is completely dispersible in water at nonvolatile levels up to 30% without the need for surfactants or additives. This sulfopolyester is particularly useful in repulpable, aqueous, or hot-melt adhesive applications.
Typical Properties:
Comments: The properties mentioned are typical values and may vary slightly between different lots. Eastman does not guarantee that the material in any specific shipment will conform exactly to the given values.
Compatibility and Solubility: Eastman AQ™ polymers are compatible with some commonly used tackifiers and plasticizers in adhesive compounding. Compatible tackifying resins include Staybelite™ Resin-E, Foral™ AX-E, Picco™ 6100, and Kristalex™ 3100. The polymer is also compatible with benzoate plasticizers such as Benzoflex 9-88 and Benzoflex 352.
Storage: Eastman AQ™ polymer must be stored in dry conditions to prevent absorption of water, which can alter its properties. Care must be taken not to rupture packaging materials to prevent leakage.
