Desmodur® N 75 MPA

Desmodur® N 75 MPA is an aliphatic polyisocyanate, specifically a hexamethylene diisocyanate (HDI) biuret. It serves as the hardener component for lightfast polyurethane coating systems. This product is supplied in approximately 75% concentration in 1-methoxypropylacetate-2.

Here are some key properties and specifications:

• NCO content: 16.5 ± 0.3%
• Non-volatile content: 75 ± 1%
• Viscosity at 23°C: 250 ± 75 mPa·s
• Color value (Hazen): ≤ 40
• Solubility/thinnability: It can be thinned with esters, ketones, and aromatic hydrocarbons like ethyl acetate, butyl acetate, acetone, toluene, xylene, etc.
• Compatibility: It can be mixed with various polyisocyanates and polyols, but compatibility should be tested.
• Applications: Used as a hardener in two-component polyurethane coatings for automotive and industrial finishing, wood, furniture, plastics, and corrosion protection.
• Storage: Recommended storage temperature is 5 - 25°C, protect from moisture, heat, and foreign material.
