Description:
Coapur™ 817 W is a solvent-free and APEO-free pure associative polyurethane thickener. It can be used alone or in combination with other polyurethane thickeners or with other types of rheology modifiers, such as acrylic or cellulosic thickeners. It is specifically designed to increase viscosities at medium and high shear rates, improving tool load, film build, leveling, and brush drag.

Recommended Addition Level:

As sole thickener in semi-gloss and satin dispersion paints: 0.1% to 0.6% (based on active content).
As sole thickener in one-coat matt dispersion paints: 0.3% to 1% (based on active content).
Combined with a low shear effective thickener in high PVC matt dispersion paints: 0.05% to 0.4% (based on active content).

Standard Packaging:
Available in 1000L IBC and 220L drum. Other packaging options may be available upon request.

Handling & Storage:
Store between 5°C and 40°C, protected from weathering and direct sunlight exposure. Reseal packaging immediately after use. Use within 12 months under these conditions. The appearance of Coapur™ 817 W may change over time, from whitish to translucent yellowish, with no impact on properties or use.
