Description: BR 100 P is specifically formulated to address common issues encountered in gloss emulsion paints, such as poor film build, brushability, and leveling. It provides improved rheological properties while maintaining compatibility with various paint components and preserving gloss levels post-drying.
Applications:
- Suitable for thickening anionic and non-ionic emulsions, particularly styrene-acrylics, vinyl-acrylics, and other copolymers.
- Used in gloss emulsion paints, semi-gloss, interior and exterior flat emulsion paints, anti-corrosive paints, and adhesives.
Recommended Addition Level: 0.3 - 2.0% of total formulation.
Standard Packaging: Available in 1000L IBC and 220L plastic drum. Other packaging options may be available upon request.
Handling & Storage: Store between 5 and 40°C, protected from weathering and direct sunlight. Protect from frost. Once opened, reseal packaging immediately and use within 12 months.
Processing Instructions:
- Slowly add 20 parts of BR 100 P (50%) to 80 parts of water under continuous stirring.
- Avoid adding BR 100 P in reverse, as it leads to a highly viscous phase.
- Add at the pigment grinding stage or at the end of letdown after polymer emulsion addition.
- Determine the addition level based on the type of resin emulsion.
- Maximum thickening is achieved 24 hours after manufacture.
