CRAYVALLAC® WN-1875 is a finely micronized polymeric wax designed for use in both water-based and solvent-based coatings. Here are its typical characteristics and recommended applications:
Description: CRAYVALLAC® WN-1875 is specifically formulated to provide a matting and satin effect in coatings. It is highly resistant to solvents and chemicals commonly used in the coatings industry. Additionally, it exhibits favorable heat resistance, weather resistance, and light stability.
Recommended Addition Level: 1.0 – 5.0% under low to medium shear dispersion
Standard Packaging:
Handling & Storage: Store CRAYVALLAC® WN-1875 in its original containers in a dry place at temperatures between 5°C (41°F) and 30°C (86°F). Avoid exposure to direct sunlight or frost. When stored under these conditions, the product should be used within 48 months from production.
Processing Instructions: CRAYVALLAC® WN-1875 can be readily dispersed into coating formulations using various techniques such as high-speed dispersers, bead mills, and triple roll mills. It is recommended to premix the micronized wax with the binder for optimal incorporation into coating systems. Alternatively, it can be added to the formulation immediately following the dispersion stage but prior to the final letdown.
