SETAL® D RD 181 BA

SETAL® D RD 181 BA is a type of polyester polyol with a hydroxyl content of approximately 4.9% on solid resin. It is primarily used as a co-reactant for polyisocyanates in the formulation of two-component polyurethane coatings. The product is supplied at around 75% concentration in butyl acetate.

SETAL D RD 181 BA can be thinned with various solvents like esters, ketones, glycol esters, and aromatic hydrocarbons, but the stability of the solutions formed should be tested. Compatibility with other polyesters and Desmodur grades is generally good, although compatibility testing is recommended due to the wide range of products available.

Storage should be in originally sealed containers at temperatures not exceeding 30°C, with a standard shelf life of 730 days from the date of manufacturing.
